The 2014 Ebola outbreak in West Africa claimed over 11,000 lives, including Idrissa’s father who died only four months before Idrissa was even born.

Idrissa is the youngest of his four siblings, and the only one who grew up not knowing who his father was. When Idrissa’s father died, his family refused to help support Idrissa’s mother. She struggled financially and worked hard to find a way to look after all her children. She started working as a house maid and did some petty trading to meet the demands of her family, but it was not enough.

Now, thanks to sponsorship from Orphans in Need, all of this has changed…
