In many parts of the world, widows are often neglected and mistreated, so are their children. Many are ostracised, dehumanised and forced to endure traumatic experiences that affects their psychological wellbeing which can last a lifetime. Widows are commonly uneducated and solely depend on their partners to provide for the family, so when their husbands pass away, they lack the skills to find a stable job to support their children.

Orphans in Need is dedicated to making the lives of widows and orphans better by providing long-term, sustainable solutions to those in need. We offer regular food parcels, funding access to essential medical care and education, funding supportive and caring homes for orphans and widows through our Build a Widow Home and Global Orphan Care projects.
